Description
An ornate 18th-century tapestry depicts an idyllic landscape with an Asian temple nestled among rolling hills, framed by delicate foliage in rich blues and golds. Figures in period dress inhabit the foreground among exotic flora and fauna, creating a romantic, theatrical scene rendered in the detailed Aubusson weaving tradition with warm earth tones and jewel-like accents. At home in a sophisticated parlor or gallery wall celebrating historical textiles and classical design. Made to order by hand at our own Denver facility, it arrives as nine wood panels, each a half-inch thick with a keyhole on the back so it hangs easily. The natural grain shows through the artwork, so no two come out exactly alike.
