Horizontal bands of color compress a seascape into pure abstraction, with a luminous yellow sky melting into warm orange at the horizon before dissolving into layers of teal, green, and dark brown that suggest water and sand in motion. The effect is contemplative and dreamlike, created through soft horizontal streaks that evoke the movement of waves and the fleeting quality of twilight. Made to order by hand at our own Denver facility, it arrives as nine wood panels, each a half-inch thick with a keyhole on the back so it hangs easily. The natural grain shows through the artwork, so no two come out exactly alike.
