Description

A comprehensive illustration displays thirty bird species native to the Pacific Northwest arranged in a loose, organic grid against a pale background. Each bird is rendered in detailed watercolor with scientific labels, capturing distinctive plumage patterns and postures that convey the region's diverse avian life from raptors and herons to songbirds and waterfowl. Water-resistant polyester, hookless and cut extra long to fit any bath, machine washable and made to order. It turns the bathroom wall into the room's best feature.

About The Artist

I am a freelance illustrator living in Portland, OR. I work in natural media like watercolor & pen and ink. I love to create work about food and the environment, and am a hobby naturalist. I love to create patterns, maps, and other illustrated educational materials, such as illustrated timelines, and illustrated recipes. I grew up in eastern Montana, but I studied art and art history at the University of Minnesota, as well as Florence, Italy, where I regularly hung out with THE David, and drew. I graduated from the University of Oregon in Eugene, where I received a bachelor of fine arts degree (in printmaking) in 2010. When not painting, some of my favorite things to do are: boulder, hang out with my sweet blind greyhound dog, and read (before I was an illustrator, I was a freelance arts journalist for years).
