A checkerboard grid of alternating black and burnt orange squares fills the composition, each cell stamped with contrasting botanical and abstract silhouettes that range from delicate ferns to geometric suns and organic shapes. The weathered, block-print texture creates a folk-art energy, as if each square were individually carved and pressed, layering pattern upon pattern in a rhythmic, earthy rhythm.
