Description
Two horizontal rectangular blocks of warm color float centered on a light ground, the upper square in deep burnt red and the lower in golden orange, separated by a thin line of white space. The muted, weathered surfaces and stark geometric composition evoke the contemplative color field paintings of mid-century modernism, where hue and proportion become the primary subjects. At home in a living room or gallery space that honors twentieth-century abstraction. Made to order by hand at our own Denver facility, it arrives as nine wood panels, each a half-inch thick with a keyhole on the back so it hangs easily. The natural grain shows through the artwork, so no two come out exactly alike.
