Description
A portly man in brown wool and a dark hat stands beside an absurdly oversized sheep that dwarfs him in scale, rendered in soft earth tones and muted greens against a cloudy sky. The composition employs classical pastoral painting techniques, yet the sheep's exaggerated proportions create a wry, deadpan humor that undermines the genre's typical grandeur. At home in a farmhouse kitchen, a study lined with curiosities, or anywhere wit meets tradition. Made to order by hand at our own Denver facility, it arrives as nine wood panels, each a half-inch thick with a keyhole on the back so it hangs easily. The natural grain shows through the artwork, so no two come out exactly alike.
