Oak and fig leaves in earthy olive and sage tones cluster densely across a cream ground, their organic silhouettes scattered in a natural rhythm punctuated by small mauve figs. Hi, I'm Cecilia, a Sydney-based surface designer and artist with a background in fine arts. My work is inspired by the Golden Age of Illustration, ancient Chinese and Japanese textiles and historical European Chinoiserie, Mid-Century Modern, and contemporary Australian symbolic painters.
