Description
A demonic figure with massive horns towers over a group of peasants gathered in a barren landscape beneath a darkened sky, while a pale moon glows in the upper left corner. The composition uses earthy ochres and browns against deep blacks and stormy grays, creating a nightmarish scene of supernatural dominance rendered in Goya's characteristic loose, expressive brushwork. At home in a gallery space or a room celebrating art history and dark romanticism. Made to order by hand at our own Denver facility, it arrives as nine wood panels, each a half-inch thick with a keyhole on the back so it hangs easily. The natural grain shows through the artwork, so no two come out exactly alike.
