Description

A wooden fishing boat named Pilar sits grounded on concrete blocks, its brown upper cabin contrasting sharply with a deep navy hull trimmed in red, rendered in loose watercolor washes and precise ink line work. Technical sketches and handwritten notes float above in the composition, anchoring the scene in both maritime history and artistic process, while warm sand tones and splashes of color give the whole piece a lived-in, documentary quality. Bound with 52 pages of 70lb paper, lined or unlined, behind an anti-scuff matte cover with wraparound artwork, made to order. Notes and sketches kept behind an independent artist's work, not a plain composition cover.
