Description
Two horseshoe crabs rendered in detailed stippled ink occupy a cream ground, their shells articulated with careful cross-hatching that reveals the creatures' segmented anatomy and spiny undersides. The composition balances the creatures vertically, with one positioned upright and the other inverted, creating a naturalistic study that suggests scientific observation paired with careful draftsmanship. At home in a natural history collection or a curious naturalist's study. Made to order by hand at our own Denver facility, it arrives as nine wood panels, each a half-inch thick with a keyhole on the back so it hangs easily. The natural grain shows through the artwork, so no two come out exactly alike.
