Description

A bicycle frame dominates this high-contrast black and white composition, captured from a low angle that emphasizes its geometric lines and mechanical components against a stark white ground. Rendered in bold charcoal or ink with expressive, sketchy marks, the image conveys urban grit and movement, celebrating the humble bicycle as both functional object and sculptural form. At home in a modern loft, studio space, or urban-inspired room. Plush sherpa fleece that gets softer with every wash, printed to order in three sizes. Made to be pulled off the couch and actually used, not folded away like store-shelf decor.

About The Artist

My name is G. Donat. I am from Valencia, a city on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea. I studied Fine Arts and Philosophy. I am an art teacher in Compulsory Secondary Education and in several painting workshops. I am passionate about painting and poetry, classical music and jazz. All items printed with exclusive designs, not from other artists. In my shop I exhibit my minimal and expressionist paintings. Cinema, photography, sculpture, or any type of art have their own characteristics. The model of the painting -and drawing- is the painting itself. The art also has its own characteristics, its own beauty, and it is not my desire to imitate the realism of photography. I like lines, strokes, spots, gestures, textures ... on paper or on canvas.
