Description
A dense scientific study of insects rendered in warm sepia tones displays dozens of specimens arranged in a radial composition around a central winged insect. Fine ink lines and meticulous detail work create an encyclopedic quality, with handwritten labels and geometric construction marks suggesting the methodical observation of natural history illustration. At home in a naturalist's study, library, or cabinet of curiosities. Made to order by hand at our own Denver facility, it arrives as nine wood panels, each a half-inch thick with a keyhole on the back so it hangs easily. The natural grain shows through the artwork, so no two come out exactly alike.
