Description
A richly patterned rug from the Caucasus region displays a bold red field anchored by a central dark navy medallion, surrounded by intricate geometric motifs in jewel tones of blue, green, and cream. The composition is framed by layered borders in warm terracotta and cream, creating a harmonious balance between the saturated central ground and the ornamental frame. Made to order by hand at our own Denver facility, it arrives as nine wood panels, each a half-inch thick with a keyhole on the back so it hangs easily. The natural grain shows through the artwork, so no two come out exactly alike.
