Description
Leonardo da Vinci's Renaissance masterpiece is reimagined with a playful contemporary twist, as the enigmatic subject blows a large bubble of pink gum that obscures her famous smile. The classical composition remains intact, with the figure's dark robes and folded hands set against the misty landscape, but the anachronistic addition of bubble gum injects humor and irreverence into one of art history's most iconic works. At home in a gallery, studio, or anywhere that celebrates art history with wit. Made to order by hand at our own Denver facility, it arrives as nine wood panels, each a half-inch thick with a keyhole on the back so it hangs easily. The natural grain shows through the artwork, so no two come out exactly alike.
