Golden and cream wildflowers cascade across a warm ivory ground in an all-over repeating pattern that fills the entire composition with organic movement and layered detail. Delicate stems and petals interweave to create a dense, rhythmic rhythm that feels both botanical and freely expressive, with a hand-drawn quality that suggests nature observed with genuine affection. Hi, I'm Cecilia, a Sydney-based surface designer and artist with a background in fine arts. My work is inspired by the Golden Age of Illustration, ancient Chinese and Japanese textiles and historical European Chinoiserie, Mid-Century Modern, and contemporary Australian symbolic painters.
