Description
A skeletal, hollow-faced figure draped in a dark hooded cloak stands rigidly against densely cross-hatched shadows in this black and white etching. The stark contrast between the pallid, skull-like visage and the deep charcoal tones creates an unsettling, Gothic atmosphere rooted in expressionist printmaking. At home in a gallery devoted to dark cinema or a collector's cabinet of classic horror. Made to order by hand at our own Denver facility, it arrives as nine wood panels, each a half-inch thick with a keyhole on the back so it hangs easily. The natural grain shows through the artwork, so no two come out exactly alike.
