Description
A woman in pale drapery bends forward over an ornate wooden chest, her long hair cascading downward in a moment of intense focus or curiosity. The composition uses warm golds and creams against deep blue architectural details, rendered in Crane's characteristic Pre-Raphaelite style with meticulous attention to classical drapery and interior ornamentation. At home in a study, library, or gallery space celebrating classical mythology and artistic tradition. Made to order by hand at our own Denver facility, it arrives as nine wood panels, each a half-inch thick with a keyhole on the back so it hangs easily. The natural grain shows through the artwork, so no two come out exactly alike.
