Description
Two technical drawings rendered in sepia tones depict railroad crossing mechanisms from a 1936 patent, with the left figure showing the iconic crossbuck sign and bell apparatus, and the right showing the articulated signal arm in raised position. The composition balances engineering precision with historical weight, rendered in fine linework against an aged paper ground that evokes the original patent document's weathered authenticity. At home in an office, study, or transit enthusiast's collection. Made to order by hand at our own Denver facility, it arrives as nine wood panels, each a half-inch thick with a keyhole on the back so it hangs easily. The natural grain shows through the artwork, so no two come out exactly alike.
