Description
A skull composed of an interior architectural space fills the frame in stark black and white, with a semicircular arched window forming the cranium and a skeletal hand emerging from the jaw. The composition merges memento mori symbolism with surrealist spatial manipulation, creating a haunting meditation on mortality and the mind as dwelling. At home in a gothic study, darkly contemplative space, or collector's gallery. Made to order by hand at our own Denver facility, it arrives as nine wood panels, each a half-inch thick with a keyhole on the back so it hangs easily. The natural grain shows through the artwork, so no two come out exactly alike.
