Description
A male brook trout swims across a pale cream ground, rendered in meticulous scientific detail with olive and charcoal tones along its back and striking crimson-red markings along its belly and fins. The fish is depicted in precise profile, capturing both the delicate spotted pattern of its body and the naturalistic proportions favored by nineteenth-century naturalists. At home in a study, library, or fishing lodge where natural history is cherished. Made to order by hand at our own Denver facility, it arrives as nine wood panels, each a half-inch thick with a keyhole on the back so it hangs easily. The natural grain shows through the artwork, so no two come out exactly alike.
