Description
A grotesque shark head with a gaping mouth and bulging eye emerges from churning teal waves beneath a coral-red sun, rendered in the style of classical Japanese woodblock prints. Japanese characters appear at the left, while the composition layers the shark's fierce visage against dynamic water patterns and a serene rising sun, creating dark humor through the collision of traditional ukiyo-e aesthetics with contemporary subject matter. For a kitchen or dining space with an adventurous, slightly irreverent edge. Made to order by hand at our own Denver facility, it arrives as nine wood panels, each a half-inch thick with a keyhole on the back so it hangs easily. The natural grain shows through the artwork, so no two come out exactly alike.
