Description
Ballet dancers in white tutus and period costume gather in a theatrical studio, their figures loosely rendered in soft washes of blue, gray, cream, and warm ochre tones. The composition captures a moment of rehearsal with an impressionistic sensibility, the brushwork loose and atmospheric, evoking the grace and movement of classical dance while maintaining an intimate, backstage quality. At home in a gallery space or a lover of classical dance and theater history. Made to order by hand at our own Denver facility, it arrives as nine wood panels, each a half-inch thick with a keyhole on the back so it hangs easily. The natural grain shows through the artwork, so no two come out exactly alike.
