Description

An illustrated catalog of diverse tree species native to the Pacific Northwest fills the composition, each rendered in detailed naturalistic color and arranged in an alphabetical grid with labeled letters and common names. Evergreens dominate the palette in rich forest greens, punctuated by autumn maples, birches, and flowering specimens in gold, coral, and blush tones that bring warmth and seasonal variety to the educational layout. Made to order from soft micro-twill and cut by hand, insert included. Real art for the spaces you actually use, not store-shelf filler.

About The Artist

I am a freelance illustrator living in Portland, OR. I work in natural media like watercolor & pen and ink. I love to create work about food and the environment, and am a hobby naturalist. I love to create patterns, maps, and other illustrated educational materials, such as illustrated timelines, and illustrated recipes. I grew up in eastern Montana, but I studied art and art history at the University of Minnesota, as well as Florence, Italy, where I regularly hung out with THE David, and drew. I graduated from the University of Oregon in Eugene, where I received a bachelor of fine arts degree (in printmaking) in 2010. When not painting, some of my favorite things to do are: boulder, hang out with my sweet blind greyhound dog, and read (before I was an illustrator, I was a freelance arts journalist for years).
