Description
Hundreds of wine corks scatter across the composition in a dense, overlapping arrangement, their cylindrical forms and printed labels creating a intricate texture of light and shadow. Shot in black and white, the photograph captures the weathered surfaces and varied orientations of each cork with documentary precision, evoking the accumulated memory of shared bottles and celebrations. At home in a kitchen, dining room, or wine lover's personal space. Made to order by hand at our own Denver facility, it arrives as nine wood panels, each a half-inch thick with a keyhole on the back so it hangs easily. The natural grain shows through the artwork, so no two come out exactly alike.
