Description
A historical map of Boston from 1902 depicts the city's street grid, neighborhoods, and waterways in warm ochres, tans, and muted reds, with the Charles River winding through the composition in soft gray-blue. The cartography captures the urban layout with precise linework and period typography, evoking the methodical craft of early twentieth-century mapmaking. At home in a study, library, or anywhere history and geography intersect. Made to order by hand at our own Denver facility, it arrives as nine wood panels, each a half-inch thick with a keyhole on the back so it hangs easily. The natural grain shows through the artwork, so no two come out exactly alike.
