Description
This aged cartographic rendering depicts Lake Champlain and Lake George in precise detail, with topographic lines tracing the water's contours and surrounding terrain rendered in fine pen work across a cream-colored surface. The composition balances a large central map with smaller inset illustrations, all contained within a delicate border frame, creating a scholarly and methodical mood that speaks to 18th-century exploration and documentation. At home in a study, library, or anywhere history and geography inspire curiosity. Made to order by hand at our own Denver facility, it arrives as nine wood panels, each a half-inch thick with a keyhole on the back so it hangs easily. The natural grain shows through the artwork, so no two come out exactly alike.
