A naturalistic collection of butterflies in orange, blue, navy, and pale green rests among delicate green stems and botanical specimens against a cream background. The composition arranges specimens across the entire surface in the manner of a scientific chart, rendered with precise linework and hand-applied watercolor in a style reminiscent of 19th-century natural history documentation. At home in a naturalist's study, a botanical lover's bedroom, or above a desk seeking scholarly inspiration. Made to order by hand at our own Denver facility, it arrives as nine wood panels, each a half-inch thick with a keyhole on the back so it hangs easily. The natural grain shows through the artwork, so no two come out exactly alike.
