Horizontal bands of watercolor wash transition from pale cream at the top through warm grays and cool blues to deep indigo at the bottom, creating the illusion of atmospheric depth or layered water. The artist has allowed pigment to pool and diffuse naturally across the paper, with subtle linear marks suggesting the movement and texture of waves or rolling tides.
