MiddayCrafts came to be because of my consistent need for artistic expression. Pre 2020, I performed on a weekly basis throughout Chicago Comedy theaters. But by mid-summer 2020, my first Chicago chapter closed, and I moved back to Pennsylvania.

My creative itch was what brought me out of bed that winter. (and a job at my local Pet Valu that has since shut down) I'd put myself at my desk and I would lose myself for hours... You know the part after you come up from painting and you discover you've lost time? That is one of my favorite things about being an artist. It's like we're able to time travel due to the focus on our work.

I make art that I enjoy. That I would want to see in the world. That I think is fun. That I think is empowering. That I think is dumb. That makes me laugh. That makes me smile. That I think a religious or authority figure would scold. That's a big one.
