Elizabeth Hyland

I am an abstract landscape and seascape artist, originally from Melbourne and now based in Broome. Before returning to Australia around three years ago, I lived and travelled overseas for twenty five years in Asia, the Middle East, North Africa and Europe. This exposed me to a wide range of influences and I developed a love of flattened images of every kind, from Japanese woodblock prints, African art and anime to pop art, street art, graffiti and animation. I'm especially drawn to those embodying a sense of movement and playfulness. The stunning coast of the Dampier Peninsula is my current muse.
