Liz Von Hagen is a Portland, Oregon based painter and illustrator. Her work focuses largely on the organic and the surreal, employing a range of original techniques. There is an emphasis on texture and effect, heavy experimentation, and unusual composition. Subject matter ranges from the abstract, to more recognizable forms of nature, and often have ambiguous themes relating to the human experience.
