Description
A prince in jeweled robes celebrates the festival of Holi with attendant women on a palace terrace, their figures rendered in warm yellows and golds against a dark night sky. An ornate golden pavilion frames the scene above, while decorative borders and precise brushwork in the Indian miniature tradition create an intimate, jewel-like composition suffused with festive celebration. At home in a gallery space or a room devoted to world art and cultural history. Made to order by hand at our own Denver facility, it arrives as nine wood panels, each a half-inch thick with a keyhole on the back so it hangs easily. The natural grain shows through the artwork, so no two come out exactly alike.
