A horizontal band of deep black and charcoal cuts across layered washes of slate blue and pale grey, creating a stark division between stormy upper tones and softer, almost ethereal lower passages. Translucent brushwork and textured overlays give the composition depth, while the central dark form suggests both weight and mystery against the lighter, more open areas surrounding it. Precision-cut from thick, satin-finish paperboard and made to order, in 500 or 1,000 pieces. An afternoon spent building an independent artist's work.
