Description
A richly detailed Persian miniature depicts Alexander the Great in ornate dress consulting with a dervish amid a lush garden filled with flowering trees, attendants, and animals. Gold leaf frames the composition while warm ochres, deep blues, and jewel tones create a densely layered scene of courtly meeting rendered with meticulous brushwork and intricate pattern throughout. At home in a study, library, or space celebrating Islamic art and history. Made to order by hand at our own Denver facility, it arrives as nine wood panels, each a half-inch thick with a keyhole on the back so it hangs easily. The natural grain shows through the artwork, so no two come out exactly alike.
