Description
Two verditer flycatchers perch on delicate branches rendered in soft gray ink, their iridescent teal and blue plumage rendered in jewel-toned watercolor against a warm cream ground. The composition balances naturalistic ornithological detail with a spare, contemplative arrangement that captures both the birds' elegant posture and the austere beauty of their mountain habitat. At home in a naturalist's study or a quiet corner devoted to vintage scientific illustration. Made to order by hand at our own Denver facility, it arrives as nine wood panels, each a half-inch thick with a keyhole on the back so it hangs easily. The natural grain shows through the artwork, so no two come out exactly alike.
