Description
A white-crested laughingthrush perches on a delicate branch, rendered in soft watercolor with warm browns and deep chocolates across its plumage contrasting against a pale cream ground. The bird's distinctive pale crest rises prominently above its dark eye mask, while a single thin leg extends downward in meticulous detail, capturing the refined naturalism of 19th-century ornithological illustration. At home in a naturalist's study or a room filled with collected curiosities. Made to order by hand at our own Denver facility, it arrives as nine wood panels, each a half-inch thick with a keyhole on the back so it hangs easily. The natural grain shows through the artwork, so no two come out exactly alike.
