Description

A solitary figure stands on a pale shore, gazing up at an enormous black rectangular form that floats impossibly above the water's edge, with a small boat sketched in white near its corner. The composition uses stark contrast between the inky void of the rectangle and the soft, muted tones of sand and sky, creating a dreamlike scene that hovers between wonder and existential mystery. Made to order from soft micro-twill and cut by hand, insert included. Real art for the spaces you actually use, not store-shelf filler.

Care

  • Remove the pillow cover using the concealed zipper
  • Wash the cover separately in cold water with gentle detergent
  • Tumble dry on low heat or air dry or lay flat to dry
  • Do not wash the faux down insert; spot clean if necessary.

About The Artist

Richard Vergez is a Cuban-American visual and sound artist. He was born in Philadelphia, PA, worked and lived in New York as member of the Brooklyn Collage Collective, and currently works and resides in South Florida. His background in graphic design and audio/visual collaboration is reflected through his hand-made collaged works on paper and mixed media. Imagery which combines both human and technological elements relates to ideas surrounding an ever-evolving modern dystopian identity.
