Description
Young ballet dancers in pale tutus practice at a barre in a sunlit studio, their poses captured mid-movement as an instructor observes from among the group. Degas renders the scene in soft watercolor tones of cream, grey, and warm ochre, with dappled light streaming through tall windows that dissolve the boundaries between the figures and their surroundings. At home in a space devoted to dance, art history, or creative inspiration. Made to order by hand at our own Denver facility, it arrives as nine wood panels, each a half-inch thick with a keyhole on the back so it hangs easily. The natural grain shows through the artwork, so no two come out exactly alike.
