A traditional Kurdish rug displays an intricate central medallion filled with interlocking floral and geometric patterns rendered in cream, gold, and deep navy against a rich crimson ground. Ornate borders frame the composition in layered bands of complementary reds, golds, and turquoise, creating a sense of depth and classical symmetry that speaks to centuries of textile craftsmanship.
