Description
Two birds-of-paradise in deep plum and iridescent green dominate this naturalistic study, their elegant forms posed among delicate foliage against a cream background. The composition balances ornithological precision with romantic detail, rendered in the hand-colored lithographic style characteristic of 19th-century scientific illustration. At home in a naturalist's study, a Victorian-inspired gallery, or a space celebrating natural history. Made to order by hand at our own Denver facility, it arrives as nine wood panels, each a half-inch thick with a keyhole on the back so it hangs easily. The natural grain shows through the artwork, so no two come out exactly alike.
