Description
Two birds-of-paradise with deep plumage in black, purple, and iridescent green display their distinctive long yellow tail feathers in graceful, elongated curves against a soft cream background. The composition captures both birds in elegant poses among delicate botanical elements, rendered with the naturalistic precision and hand-colored detail characteristic of 19th-century ornithological illustration. In a naturalist's study, a collector's gallery, or any space celebrating the wonder of wildlife. Made to order by hand at our own Denver facility, it arrives as nine wood panels, each a half-inch thick with a keyhole on the back so it hangs easily. The natural grain shows through the artwork, so no two come out exactly alike.
