A whale surfaces at the boundary between ocean and sky, its massive body half-submerged in dark waters while its pale underside catches the light. The composition splits the frame into two worlds, rendered in muted grays and deep blues with delicate stippled textures that suggest both the whale's vulnerable presence and the vastness of the sea.
