Four butterflies in varying shades of deep blue, light blue, and burnt orange are arranged vertically down the center of a warm beige ground, each rendered with delicate striations that suggest paper-cut or woodblock techniques. The composition is spare and meditative, with careful attention to the subtle color variation and graceful symmetry of each specimen's wings. Made to order by hand at our own Denver facility, it arrives as nine wood panels, each a half-inch thick with a keyhole on the back so it hangs easily. The natural grain shows through the artwork, so no two come out exactly alike.
