Description
Four butterflies and two caterpillars are arranged around delicate botanical stems with pale green leaves, rendered in meticulous natural history illustration style. The composition balances dark specimens, including a black butterfly and deep maroon-winged butterfly, against lighter cream-colored leaves and paper, creating a study in lepidopteran life stages with scientific precision and subtle color. At home in a naturalist's study or a cabinet of curiosities. Made to order by hand at our own Denver facility, it arrives as nine wood panels, each a half-inch thick with a keyhole on the back so it hangs easily. The natural grain shows through the artwork, so no two come out exactly alike.
