Description
A composition of Carolina parakeets clusters across cream-colored paper, their bodies rendered in jewel-toned greens with bright yellow and orange markings on head and wing, perched among delicate branches and flowering plants rendered in muted botanicals. The birds are arranged in a naturalistic yet densely layered composition, their poses varied and lifelike, executed with the precision of hand-colored ornithological documentation from the 19th century. Precision-cut from thick, satin-finish paperboard and made to order, in 500 or 1,000 pieces. An afternoon spent building an independent artist's work.
