Description
A single stem of Cheiranthus Cheiri rises against a deep black ground, its clustered flower head rendered in warm yellows and burnt oranges that glow with botanical precision. The composition balances delicate green leaves along the stem with the densely packed petals above, executed in what appears to be paper collage with the meticulous detail of a 18th-century naturalist study. At home in a library, study, or any space that honors botanical curiosity and historical science. Made to order by hand at our own Denver facility, it arrives as nine wood panels, each a half-inch thick with a keyhole on the back so it hangs easily. The natural grain shows through the artwork, so no two come out exactly alike.
