Description
A reddish-brown dodo stands alert among lush tropical foliage, its distinctive curved beak and scaled plumage rendered in intricate detail against a warm blue sky. Layered botanical elements in terracotta, green, and gold frame the bird, while a cream-colored egg rests in the foreground, creating a narrative of fragility and natural history in this richly colored composition. At home in a naturalist's study or a room celebrating extinct wonder. Made to order by hand at our own Denver facility, it arrives as nine wood panels, each a half-inch thick with a keyhole on the back so it hangs easily. The natural grain shows through the artwork, so no two come out exactly alike.
