Description
Eight silhouetted figures cast long shadows across a grid of colored squares in this Japanese woodblock composition, their forms rendered in deep gray against panels of cream, yellow, orange, and blue. The arrangement balances geometric precision with organic movement, creating a playful tension between the rigid grid structure and the fluid poses of the shadowed figures. In a space celebrating East Asian art and graphic design traditions. Made to order by hand at our own Denver facility, it arrives as nine wood panels, each a half-inch thick with a keyhole on the back so it hangs easily. The natural grain shows through the artwork, so no two come out exactly alike.
