Description
A fish hawk clutches a silvery fish in its talons while suspended mid-dive, wings spread wide in dynamic motion against a soft cream background. Dark brown and charcoal feathers contrast sharply with the bird's pale breast and the glimmering scales of its catch, rendered with meticulous ornithological precision in watercolor and ink. At home in a naturalist's study or above a library shelf. Made to order by hand at our own Denver facility, it arrives as nine wood panels, each a half-inch thick with a keyhole on the back so it hangs easily. The natural grain shows through the artwork, so no two come out exactly alike.
