Description
A profusion of roses, carnations, lilies, and delicate blooms spill from a decorative porcelain vase painted with blue and gilt ornament, set against a nearly black ground that makes each petal glow with luminous intensity. The composition captures flowers at various stages of bloom, from tightly furled buds to full, open faces, arranged with the studied naturalism and rich color variation characteristic of eighteenth-century floral still life. At home in a formal parlor, gallery wall, or room where classical refinement is cherished. Made to order by hand at our own Denver facility, it arrives as nine wood panels, each a half-inch thick with a keyhole on the back so it hangs easily. The natural grain shows through the artwork, so no two come out exactly alike.
